HOW TO BUILD A BRICK SHELF FOR AN INDOOR GREENHOUSE

Plants add a sense of 'calm' to a room. The colour green itself is regularly seen as the colour of 'hope' around the world.

Windows are particularly overlooked when thinking about indoor plants in a home. Think about it, a greenhouse effect can take place because of the glass and the UV light that intensifies as it filters through the glass. Indoor plants don't have to be difficult to look after. Finding the perfect spot around the house is essential, though.

The benefits of windows and Venetian blinds, is that the light can be filtered through and manipulated according to the needs of each plant.

Too sunny? Not a problem, deviate the light so it doesn't directly shine on the plants.

Too dark? Open up the blinds completely so extra light can come through.

You will end up with a great usable space, that would otherwise be unusable, adding character and texture to your home without having to compromise on space, money or complexity.

Want to add texture to your home without having to build an expensive exposed brick wall? This is the perfect project to bring some texture and character to a room, by adding brick and not having to spend much time or money in doing so. Brick fascia is the perfect replacement for brick, it looks natural, it looks real and it adds the same character to a space as regular brick would.

Not much of a green thumb? Neither am I! But indoor plants add style to a home and coziness. They lift the mood up instantly and relax the environment in the room. Give it a go!
